JR West Real Estate & Development Company Launches First Flexible Office Projects in Osaka and Tokyo

In June 2025, JR West Real Estate & Development Company began construction on two small-scale office buildings centered around serviced offices, one located in Shibata 2-chome, Kita-ku, Osaka, and the other in Kami-Osaki 2-chome, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo. Both properties are scheduled to open in winter 2026.
These projects mark the company’s first foray into the serviced office sector. Each building will feature a lounge on the lower floors for meetings and relaxation, while upper floors will offer fully furnished private office spaces equipped with internet connectivity. The facilities will also include on-site staff and shared conference rooms, aiming to serve as ready-to-use flexible offices ideal for growing companies and short-term projects.
Until now, the company has focused on developing mid-to-large-sized office buildings in cities such as Kanazawa and Shin-Osaka. In response to increasingly diverse workstyles, JR West Real Estate & Development Company plans to expand its offerings with more adaptable office products. By establishing flagship locations in both Umeda (Osaka) and Meguro (Tokyo), the company aims to raise brand recognition in western Japan and the Tokyo metropolitan area, accelerating its serviced office business.
