Meitetsu City Design Starts Construction of 117-Room Hotel in Meieki 4-chome
Meitetsu City Design has started construction of the (Tentative Name) Meieki 4-chome Hotel Project in Meieki 4-chome, Nakamura-ku, Nagoya. The company is developing a 17-story hotel with 117 rooms, with completion scheduled for May 2028. Meitetsu Inn Co., Ltd. is expected to open and operate the hotel, and is considering a brand that will be new to Nagoya.
The site is a two-minute walk from Kokusai Center Station on the Nagoya Municipal Subway Sakura-dori Line and a nine-minute walk from JR Nagoya Station. It faces Hiekimachi-dori, and a restaurant unit will be provided on the first floor.
Meitetsu Inn operates a total of 12 facilities under two brands, Meitetsu Inn and Hotel Musse. All eight of its facilities in Aichi Prefecture are limited-service Meitetsu Inn hotels, while its upscale Hotel Musse brand has locations in Ginza, Tokyo, and Shijo-Kawaramachi, Kyoto.
Meitetsu City Design, the urban development company of the Meitetsu Group, is also one of the project operators of the Nagoya Station district redevelopment together with Nagoya Railroad Co., Ltd. and others. Construction of the redevelopment is scheduled to begin in FY2027.
