GLP Japan Completes First ALFALINK Project in Kansai — 1.15M-SF Ibaraki Logistics Hub 97% Pre-Leased

GLP Japan announced on August 7 that it has completed construction of GLP ALFALINK Ibaraki, a large-scale, multi-functional logistics complex in Ibaraki City, Osaka Prefecture, comprising three buildings with a total gross floor area of approximately 96,800 tsubo (approx. 320,200 sq. m). The total project investment was around JPY 80 billion, with a pre-leasing rate of 97%. This marks the first “ALFALINK” branded development in the Kansai region, accommodating 17 tenant companies.
The newly completed GLP ALFALINK Ibaraki 3 is a six-story, seismically isolated, precast concrete facility with a gross floor area of approximately 34,903 tsubo (approx. 115,400 sq. m). The first floor features double-sided loading docks, while floors 2 through 6 have single-sided docks. A dual-ramp system enables trucks to directly access every floor. Amenities include a cafeteria, showers for drivers, and a shared lounge, designed to improve worker comfort and reduce long waiting times. Certain sections are equipped with cold and frozen storage capabilities to handle temperature-sensitive cargo.
The site is located along Prefectural Route 14, approximately 6.2 kilometers from Suita Junction, where the Meishin, Kinki, and Chugoku Expressways intersect. This strategic location enables distribution to 11 prefectures and approximately 28 million people in the Kansai region within two hours. The development is integrated with an adjacent large-scale retail facility, creating a hybrid hub that blends logistics and commercial uses.
