Sankei Building Breaks Ground on First Cold Storage Logistics Facility in SANKEILOGI Series

On July 14, Sankei Building Co., Ltd. announced the groundbreaking of its first cold storage-dedicated logistics hub under the "SANKEILOGI" brand: “(Tentative) SANKEILOGI Kasukabe” in Kasukabe City, Saitama Prefecture. Main construction started on June 30, with completion scheduled for March 2027. Tenant leasing has begun at JPY 8,800 per tsubo under a self-management condition, with options for single-tenant occupancy.

Located along National Route 16 near the Shōwa Interchange of New National Route 4 and about 11.8 km from the Tōhoku Expressway’s Iwatsuki Interchange, the site offers excellent truck accessibility and workforce availability due to its proximity to retail hubs such as Aeon Mall Kasukabe.

The four-story box-type facility will feature a gross floor area of approximately 3,815 tsubo (approx. 126,000 sq. ft.), with about 3,000 tsubo of warehouse space. A water-cooled refrigeration system will enhance energy efficiency, catering to diverse low-temperature logistics needs.

This project is among the last developments permitted in the Shōwa Interchange District, which is designated under Article 34, Item 12 of the City Planning Act but will lose this designation in April 2026. Sankei Building is also planning cold storage facilities in Mihama Ward (Chiba City) and Matsudo City, targeting replacement demand for aging facilities and growing food logistics.
