Tokyo Century To Jointly Acquire Airport-Connected Hotel in Singapore

Tokyo Century Corporation will jointly acquire Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, a hotel directly connected to Singapore Changi Airport, through its subsidiary TC Realty SG Pte. Ltd. The company will establish a joint venture with OUE Limited, a major Singapore-based real estate and healthcare group, and acquire the property from OUE REIT, which is sponsored by OUE Limited. The total acquisition price is SGD 500 million, or approximately JPY 62.4 billion as of June 26, 2026.

The hotel consists of 332 rooms in the main building and 243 rooms in the extension building, and is located at Terminal 3 of the airport. It is directly connected to all four terminals within the airport and Jewel Changi Airport, a mixed-use complex, via the automated Skytrain system and connecting walkways. The hotel is operated by IHG Hotels & Resorts.

The transaction marks the second collaboration project between Tokyo Century and OUE, following the joint development of Hotel Indigo Changi Airport, which is directly connected to Terminal 2 and began construction in May 2025. That hotel is scheduled to open in 2028 with 255 guest rooms. Value-add initiatives, including a large-scale renovation and brand repositioning, are also planned for Crowne Plaza Changi Airport, as the partners aim to capture the long-term growth potential of Changi Airport, where Terminal 5 is scheduled to open in the mid-2030s.

Since 2016, Tokyo Century has been advancing its hotel business in Japan, including the development and operation of ANA InterContinental Beppu Resort & Spa and Hotel Indigo Karuizawa. Under its Medium-Term Management Plan 2030, the company has identified Asia and ASEAN as priority areas for its real estate business and plans to promote investment in those markets. This transaction is part of that strategy.
