TEPCO To Relocate Head Office for Uchisaiwaicho Redevelopment
The TEPCO group, including Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings, will relocate from its current head office to the Shinkobashi Building between September this year and January 2027 in connection with the Uchisaiwaicho redevelopment.
The destination is in Uchisaiwaicho 1-chome, the same district as the current head office. Completed in 1996, the building has 22 floors above ground and six below, with a typical floor plate of approximately 251 tsubo (approx. 8,900 sq. ft.).
The current TEPCO Head Office Building sits within the South District of HIBIYA CROSSPARK, the large-scale redevelopment underway in Uchisaiwaicho 1-chome. It will be demolished after the South District tower is completed, and the site is slated for low-rise buildings and a plaza.
The redevelopment divides an approximately 6.5-hectare block into three districts — North, Central and South — and will create a mixed-use block with a combined gross floor area of approximately 333,000 tsubo (approx. 11,849,100 sq. ft.). In the Central District, demolition of the NTT Hibiya Building and the Hibiya U-1 Building has been completed, and construction of NTT Hibiya Tower began in December 2025. The South District Tower broke ground in April of the same year, and completion of the entire block is scheduled for fiscal 2037 or later.
Meanwhile, TEPCO Energy Partner, which has its headquarters functions in the Ginza Mitsui Building, and TEPCO Renewable Power, which has its headquarters functions in the Hibiya Kokusai Building, will continue to use those offices.
