GLP Japan Completes Kansai’s Largest Multi-Functional Logistics Hub, GLP ALFALINK Amagasaki

GLP Japan Inc. announced on November 13 that its large-scale, multi-functional logistics facility “GLP ALFALINK Amagasaki” in Hyogo Prefecture has been completed and commenced operations with all space fully leased. The two-building campus has a total Gross Floor Area of approximately 112,000 tsubo (approx. 3,990,000 sq. ft.), making it one of the largest logistics projects in the Kansai region. The property is a 7-minute walk from Amagasaki Center Pool-mae Station on the Hanshin Main Line and is located about 300 meters from the Amagasaki Nishi Interchange on the Hanshin Expressway Kobe Route No. 3.
“GLP ALFALINK Amagasaki South” is a six-story, multi-tenant facility with a Gross Floor Area of approximately 73,300 tsubo (approx. 2,610,000 sq. ft.). Sagawa Express has leased the first and second floors and will use them as one of the largest cross-docking hubs in the Kansai region. A total of five companies, including Kantsu and Nihon Access, have taken space in the building.
In contrast, “GLP ALFALINK Amagasaki North” is a four-story box-type facility with a Gross Floor Area of approximately 34,000 tsubo (approx. 1,210,000 sq. ft.). It is leased on a full-building basis as a dedicated facility for an existing customer, which plans to leverage the large single floor plates of about 8,000 tsubo (approx. 285,000 sq. ft.) for highly efficient operations.
Within the campus, GLP Japan has developed a shared-use building called “ALCO BRIDGE,” which houses restaurants, a multi-purpose court, and outdoor fitness equipment. In addition, the city of Amagasaki has opened “ALCO GARDEN,” a community support facility on site. GLP Japan and the city have entered into a comprehensive collaboration agreement, and the facilities will also function as a disaster-response hub and as venues for child-care support and educational programs.
