Daiwa House Realty Mgt. to Develop Hotel Near Fukui Station
Daiwa House Realty Mgt. Co., Ltd., a member of the Daiwa House Group, will develop an urban hotel tentatively named "(Tentative) Daiwa Roynet Hotel Fukui" in Chuo 1-chome, Fukui City, Fukui Prefecture. Construction is scheduled to start on August 3, 2026, with completion planned for the end of January 2028 and opening in the spring of the same year.
The planned site is located approximately a five-minute walk from "Fukui" Station, served by the Hokuriku Shinkansen, Hapi Line Fukui, and other lines. The building will be nine stories above ground with 204 guest rooms. Design and construction will be handled by Daiwa House Industry Co., Ltd.
The Hokuriku Shinkansen began serving Fukui Station in March 2024 with the opening of the extension between Kanazawa and Tsuruga. According to Fukui Prefecture, the number of visitors in the year following the opening increased by approximately 20% overall compared to before the opening. This project is intended to meet lodging demand around Fukui Station amid the increase in visitors from a wider area.
Daiwa House Realty Mgt. operates three urban hotel brands: Daiwa Roynet Hotel, Daiwa Roynet Hotel PREMIER, and DEL style by Daiwa Roynet Hotel, and in 2025 it also opened the resort hotel BATON SUITE Okinawa Kouri Island. Under the Daiwa Roynet Hotel brand used for this project, the company opened a property in front of Akita Station in February 2025 and plans to open another in front of Matsue Station in August 2026, expanding its presence around major stations in regional cities.
