Caitac Holdings to Develop Luxury Hotel in Tenjin, Fukuoka

Caitac Holdings and DLIGHT will develop an urban luxury hotel in Kego 1-chome, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. The Fukuoka Tenjin Hotel Project will make use of land owned by Caitac and is targeting a 2030 opening.

The 12-story hotel is planned to have 180 guest rooms. Targeting primarily affluent domestic travelers and urban-stay visitors, it will feature an all-day dining venue and a rooftop pool in addition to guest rooms. Caitac will handle development of the land and building, while DLIGHT, as development partner, will oversee the hotel concept, various development-related coordination, and pre-opening project management. DLIGHT plans to operate the hotel after completion.

Caitac operates the retail complex CAITAC SQUARE GARDEN in Kego 1-chome. Opened in 2020, the mixed-use facility sits on a site of approximately 8,000 sq. m (approx. 86,100 sq. ft.) and houses shops, restaurants, and a cinema. On an adjacent site, Caitac is also developing CAITAC LIVINCOURT, a mixed-use complex with retail floors, slated for completion in spring 2027. The new hotel adds lodging to retail and residential uses, expanding the series of area development Caitac is pursuing in the Kego and Tenjin districts.

DLIGHT develops and operates hotels, wedding venues, and restaurants. It positions this project as the flagship of an urban luxury hotel brand it plans to roll out, aiming to capture lodging demand from affluent visitors and tourists to Fukuoka.
