Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Relocates Head Office to Tekko Building in Marunouchi
Mitsui O.S.K. Lines will relocate its head office to the Tekko Building in Marunouchi 1-chome, Chiyoda Ward, Tokyo. The move will be from its current head office location at the Nihonbashi Maruzen Tokyu Building in Nihonbashi, Chuo Ward, Tokyo. The effective date will be determined at a board of directors meeting to be held by the time of the company’s annual general shareholders’ meeting scheduled for March 2027.
The Tekko Building, completed in October 2015, is a large-scale mixed-use complex. The main tower rises 26 stories above grade and offers a Gross Floor Area of approximately 35,686 tsubo (approx. 1,179,000 sq. ft.). The property features high-specification office space with 2,950 mm ceiling heights and typical floor plates of approximately 723 tsubo (approx. 23,900 sq. ft.). It is recognized as Japan’s first large-scale mixed-use development powered entirely by renewable energy-sourced electricity, reflecting an environmentally conscious building operation. In addition to its prime location a one-minute walk from JR Tokyo Station, the building incorporates a mid-story seismic isolation system as part of its business continuity planning (BCP) measures.
