JHAT to Open Three Hotels in Kyoto and Asakusa on the Same Day

JHAT Co., Ltd. will open three hotels on the same day, September 18, 2026, in Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, and Taito Ward, Tokyo. The three properties will have a combined total of 116 guest rooms, and with these openings, the number of properties operated by the company's hotel MONday group will reach 40.

In Shimogyo Ward, Kyoto City, the company will open GRAND MONday Kyoto Shijo Kawaramachi, the first Kansai property under its top-tier brand, GRAND MONday. Located a six-minute walk from Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Kyoto Line, all 32 rooms will be suite-style, each at least 38 sq. m (approx. 400 sq. ft.), with a kitchen and a washer-dryer in every room.

In the Asakusa area, the company will open two properties, Premium MONday Asakusa II and TABI Asakusa. Premium MONday Asakusa II has 26 rooms in total, each at least 35 sq. m (approx. 400 sq. ft.), accommodating up to six guests. TABI Asakusa is the second property under the new TABI brand, with 58 rooms in total, catering to inbound travelers, families, and groups on long-term stays.

JHAT operates accommodations in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka that primarily target inbound visitors and cater to group and mid-to-long-term stays. With the addition of these two properties, the Asakusa-Ueno area of Taito Ward will have 16 properties, expanding the company's multi-brand presence.
