Hankyu Hanshin Properties to Enter U.S. Single-Family Housing Market with “Saddlebrook” Project in Texas

Hankyu Hanshin Properties Corp. will participate in a for-sale single-family housing development in the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area of Texas under the project name “(Tentative) Saddlebrook.” The company will jointly develop a total of 97 for-sale homes with local developer Bridge Tower Homes. Homes are scheduled for phased completion beginning in 2028, marking Hankyu Hanshin Properties’ first single-family residential development in the United States.

The project site is located in the City of Corinth, approximately 50 kilometers (about 31 miles) northwest of downtown Dallas and around 50 kilometers northeast of downtown Fort Worth. The site spans approximately 67,900 square meters (approx. 731,000 sq. ft., or about 16.8 acres). The surrounding area is well served by retail facilities, schools, and hospitals, with convenient access to nearby highways. Major business districts in Dallas and Fort Worth can be reached in roughly 40 to 50 minutes by car.

Hankyu Hanshin Properties began its overseas expansion in 2014 with logistics warehouse projects in Indonesia, followed by entry into the residential for-sale market in Vietnam in 2015. The company currently operates across five ASEAN countries—Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Malaysia—and in January 2025 announced participation in a 157-unit condominium development in the Greater Toronto Area of Canada. With this U.S. entry, the company’s overseas portfolio expands to projects in seven countries, totaling 69 projects and approximately 74,950 residential units. The move represents a strategic expansion beyond its ASEAN-focused footprint into the North American market.
