CMIC Healthcare Institute to Relocate Osaka Office to Grand Front Osaka in September 2025

CMIC Healthcare Institute Co., Ltd., a group company of CMIC Holdings, will relocate its Osaka office from Senrioka, Settsu City, to Grand Front Osaka Tower B by the end of September 2025. The relocation aims to improve operational efficiency through better accessibility, supporting the company’s mission to deliver high-value-added services centered around medical institutions.

The new office, directly connected to JR Osaka Station, is expected to strengthen ties with existing healthcare facilities and enable deeper collaboration with pharmaceutical companies headquartered in Osaka. Amid a renewed emphasis on in-person interaction, the office is envisioned as a space fostering spontaneous dialogue among employees, enhancing both workplace satisfaction and talent acquisition. By attracting and retaining next-generation healthcare professionals, the company aims to accelerate business growth. The Umeda area, where the new office is located, is anticipated to experience further revitalization with the opening of the Umekita Phase 2 development.

As a core company of the CMIC Group, known for its CRO (Contract Research Organization) services, CMIC Healthcare Institute also offers SMO (Site Management Organization) operations and healthcare information services. Particularly in Osaka, the firm has built strong partnerships with local medical institutions over the years and has an established track record in supporting clinical trials and medical research.

The parent company, CMIC Holdings, went private through a management buyout (MBO) led by founder Kazuo Nakamura between November 2023 and January 2024. Amid significant changes in the business environment, such as the expected decline in domestic clinical trials, the MBO was driven by a desire for swift structural reforms. This office relocation is likely aligned with that strategic direction.
